Interaction History
Interaction History lists every interaction across all contacts — title, notes, type, contact, and date — sortable and filterable.
Where a contact profile shows one person’s history, this shows all of it.
What it’s for
Section titled “What it’s for”Seeing what you actually did. Filter to a month and look. Most people are surprised — either by how much or how little, and both are useful.
Understanding your channel mix. Filter by type. If everything is Email and nothing is Meeting or Call, that’s a diagnosis.
Finding something you half-remember. “I know I talked to someone about that grant in the spring.” Sort by date and scan.
Reporting activity. If you report to a supervisor or sending organisation on activity as well as income, this is the source.
It only shows what you logged
Section titled “It only shows what you logged”Interactions you never recorded aren’t here, and every report built on interactions — Out of Touch Donors, Unthanked Donors, What’s Next — has the same blind spot.
Two habits fix most of it:
- Complete tasks rather than just doing them. Ticking a task logs the interaction for free.
- Log every mailing in bulk. One bulk interaction per newsletter.
