Connecting
Section titled “Connecting”From Integrations, click Connect Hubspot. You’ll authorise on HubSpot’s site and return to Karani.
What syncs
Section titled “What syncs”- Contacts — import HubSpot contacts into Karani, and push Karani contacts to HubSpot
- Companies — organisation records
The integration page has controls to import contacts, sync an individual contact, and update a contact.
Deciding which system is authoritative
Section titled “Deciding which system is authoritative”For most personal fundraising, Karani is the right source of truth for donor relationships, with HubSpot receiving data rather than originating it.
Duplicates
Section titled “Duplicates”Cross-system syncs create duplicates when the matching key doesn’t line up. Run Potential Duplicate Contacts after your first sync and periodically after.
Disconnecting
Section titled “Disconnecting”Disconnect stops the sync; records in both systems remain.
